ANOSR develops the next generation of students-monitors of transparency in universities

National Alliance of Student Organizations in Romania (ANOSR) takes place, between May 5-8, 2022, at Vama Veche, the training session “Monitors for transparency in the university environment”. In it they will be trained 80 student-monitors of transparency in universities, selected according to their experience in student organizations, in student representation and taking into account the diversity of university centers from which they come.
The session will include elements from the field decision-making transparency and decision-making by students. Following the activities carried out, the participants will get to know each other mechanisms for monitoring public institutions, with a focus on universities, how to request information of public interest and will have the ability to carry out initiatives to influence local public policies through advocacy campaigns.
The session is part of the Students for change project, the project is implemented by ANOSR in partnership with AIESEC in Iceland, with the financial support of the Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA Grants 2014-2021 (www.eeagrants.org).
The Active Citizens Fund Romania program is financed by the EEA Grants 2014-2021. The overall objective of the Grants is to reduce economic and social disparities and to strengthen bilateral relations between the 15 beneficiary and donor states (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway). The program is administered by a consortium of the Foundation for Civil Society Development, the Partnership Foundation, the Resource Center for Roma Communities, the PACT Foundation and Frivillighet Norge, which acts as a Fund Operator designated by the FMO - Grants Financial Office EEA and Norway. Active Citizens Fund Romania aims to strengthen civil society and active citizenship and increase the capacity of vulnerable groups. With a total allocation of EUR 46,000,000, the program aims to develop the long-term sustainability and capacity of the civil society sector, stepping up its role in promoting democratic participation, active citizenship and human rights while strengthening bilateral relations with donor states. , Liechtenstein and Norway.
